2020 Design Trends

Design trends are constantly influencing how we style our homes. Therefore, knowing some of the latest trending designs can help you stay ahead of the curve. Plus, since we are now entering a new decade in 2020, many design trends are fading as well as coming to the market. To help you stay ahead of the curve, here are several design tricks that are becoming more popular and gaining momentum:

Mixing Metals

Metal accents have always been a staple throughout centuries in interior design. However, traditionally we would see one metal being repeated throughout a style. From brass facets to brass cabinet handles, this repetition was used throughout every metal accent in a room. Yet, we have seen a dramatic change in this trend. Mixing metal accents from gold, silver, copper, and chrome in a single room gives a more diverse style. This trend has become very common in many design styles entering into the year 2020. We believe this will continue to be the norm throughout the year’s trends.

Industrial Infusion

There are a ton of designs that have been used in homes for years. Design styles come and go, but they also sometimes blend together. Modern and traditional styles over the years blended together to create the common styling of Transitional. Likewise, different styles are fused together all the time. We are beginning to see Industrial-themed designs starting to blend with more and more styles. From Rustic to Shabby Chic rooms, Industrial accents are being added more and more. This look seems to be a common trend moving into 2020.

Farmhouse Fantasy

Likewise, we are also seeing Farmhouse design styles being splashed into other designs. Modern homes may take a more Modern Farmhouse styling, or Southwestern may also find more roots in some of these styling accents. Earth color palettes and more Rustic decor pieces are becoming more and more trendy. We see this trend being very prominent throughout this entire year.

Staying ahead of the curve can be difficult. There are so many different influences coming and going all the time. We are here to help make it easy for you. Let us do the research and help keep you ahead of the game. Thanks for reading!
