Spring is here, and it has never been a better time for spring cleaning. In fact, since we are practicing social distancing and are being refined to our houses, we are home more than ever. It can create anxiety with everyone’s lives being put on hold, but that should not give us an excuse to just sit around and wait for this pandemic out to end. In fact, it is a unique opportunity to focus on areas in your house that have not received enough TLC over the years. Also, it is the perfect time to tackle your spring cleaning list and make a dent in your home’s to-do list. To help, here are several great projects to tackle this spring while quarantined:
Dusting
Several areas in our homes get neglected too often when dusting. However, today is an opportunity to finally dust those hard to reach spots and nuisance areas. Just remember, always start from high to low areas. You should get on top of any fans or ceiling trim first. Next, dust on top of your fridge, cabinets, and picture frames. You may want to use this opportunity to move furniture to get those hard to reach spots as well. Lastly, make sure to wipe down all your baseboards as well to have them looking brand new.
Disinfecting
Likewise, this is a time that is best suited to disinfect areas. The coronavirus has really brought forth awareness of cleanliness and sanitation. So since your home is your safe refuge, it is your best place for social distancing. Make sure your home is appropriately disinfected to prevent the spread of germs. Two great places to start are the kitchen and the bathroom. Also, remember, if the disease is not in your home, the only way it can come in is with new items. Remember to wash your produce and items you get from the grocery store before consuming them or putting them away in your home.
Home’s Exterior and Garage
While the weather is semi-nice in Ohio, do not lose the opportunity to clean the outside of your home. Right now is a great time to get rid of miscellaneous items and junk you have begun storing overtime. Make sure you weed your yard and have it looking ready for summer.
These simple tasks are great to help keep you busy during this time of mayhem. Make sure you are practicing social distancing and staying home during these uncertain times. Also, try and stay positive by considering this as a great opportunity to get your home back into prime condition.
