Advantages of Laminate Floors

Do you want an attractive and cost effective flooring solution for your home? Then you may want to consider laminate flooring.  It has become increasingly popular over the years.  There are more design options than ever before.  The most popular styles are rustic, historic wood grain and natural stone.

Here are some of the pros, which have attracted homeowners to use it for their flooring needs:

  1. Economical choice. Laminate flooring is one of the most affordable flooring available because it uses photographs or screens to give it a similar look to tile, wood, or stone.  They’re a great solution if you want the look, but aren’t ready to spend a lot of money.
  2. Low Maintenance. Laminate flooring doesn’t require constant refinishing maintenances throughout their lifetime. The fourth layer, the wear layer, provides protection and stain resistance.  It doesn’t even require any oiling or waxing!
  3. Aesthetically appealing. Laminate flooring uses a photograph of wood as its’ top layer so your floor can appear to be any type of wood, like oak, mahogany, pine or many others giving your home an added appeal without hurting your budget. Laminate flooring can also resemble natural stone, ceramic tile, or slate.  The quality of these laminate lookalikes is based on the number of screens (photographs).
  4. Durable. They are resistant to scuffing and scratches because of the wear layer.  They’re a great choice for active rooms and/or households. They are also less likely to fade in direct sunlight.

So if you have been postponing your home renovation project because of budget constraints, think again as laminate flooring can be your best option to achieve a great new look.  Take a look at more laminate styles on our website.

We’ve had a laminate floor in our house for years now, and it still looks good as new!
