Heart-Shaped French Toast

This is a tasty seasonal recipe perfect for Valentine’s Day. It requires little prep work and few ingredients. Can be prepared in 20 minutes or less.

What You Will Need:

Slices of Bread (any type will do) depending on how many people you are serving. Estimate an average 2 pieces per person.

Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter

Eggs, Estimate one egg for each piece.

Whole milk, ¼ cup for every two eggs used.

Syrup of choice

Strawberries, for garnish

Powdered Sugar, to lightly dust each piece.

Directions:

Use the heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out each heart shaped slice of bread. You will want to get a large heart shaped cookie cutter for this.

In a large mixing bowl whisk together the eggs and milk. Keep egg mixture in mixing bowl. Dunk the bread slice and let it soak up the mixture for a few seconds. When both sides are well coated, place in greased frying pan, on medium heat. When both sides are brown place on plate.

Lightly dust the French toast with powdered sugar. Next add your syrup to the toast and lastly garnish with a few strawberry slices and serve!
